OJP4Danube – Coordination Mechanisms for Multimodal Cross-Border Traveler Information Network Based on OJP for Danube Region
Project description
The main goal of the OJP4Danube project is the integration of cross-border and multi-organizational coordination mechanisms and the improved technical and organizational alignment of transport operators and passenger information service providers at various management levels, with regard to developing a comprehensive multimodal cross-border passenger information network based on a new and innovative Open Journey Planning (OJP) approach. The project aimed to develop multimodal cross-border passenger information networks that connect local and regional public transport networks with major transport corridors (railways), which will ultimately be enriched with cycling routes and cycling travel information necessary for multimodal travel. The project involved 14 partners from eight Danube region countries facing a common challenge, and it ultimately created digital infrastructure, innovative new methods, and tools that facilitate the operational service network and enable the definition of strategic and action plans.
