SAFE-LMD – Green and safety skills for workers in bike based urban last mile deliveries

SAFE-LMD responds to the growth of bicycle-based last-mile delivery driven by e-commerce and the need to reduce environmental impacts while improving safety. The project examines how specialised training for couriers should be designed, how safety and environmental aspects can be integrated, which learning formats are appropriate, and how qualifications and competences should be certified. It develops a shared competence framework, occupational profile, curriculum, online course, self-learning materials, instructor handbook, and online examination scheme, all made available as open educational resources in six languages.
