Evaluation of functional and physical service life of various road marking materials

Funded by M. Swarovski Gesellschaft m. b. H. of Austria, the project investigates the functional and physical service life of different road marking materials through six work packages and a series of real-world tests. The work includes analysis of thermoplastic wear, durability of other marking materials, environmental effects, night-time visibility on selected curves, visibility in rainy conditions, and the presence of microplastics in road markings. The results provide important evidence for improved maintenance planning and more accurate assessment of environmental impact.
