Military Air Traffic Control
The Military Air Traffic Control programme prepares students for professional, technical and operational tasks in military air operations systems. The programme is based on contemporary aviation regulations, military standards and specialized course content that enable acquisition of knowledge necessary for management of military flights and protection of airspace.
Description
The Military Air Traffic Control programme educates future military air traffic controllers who supervise and manage military flights in controlled and uncontrolled airspace. The programme is conducted as part of the Aeronautics study and links theoretical foundations of aeronautics, flight management and military operations.
Students acquire knowledge of airspace structure, control procedures, communication techniques, military terminology and coordination of military flights. The programme also includes specialized content aligned with military regulations, rulebooks and Ministry of Defence requirements.
About the Programme
The programme enables acquisition of fundamental and advanced knowledge required for work in military air traffic control. Emphasis is on understanding airspace management systems, military coordination, safety procedures and practical communication skills, as well as decision-making in dynamic operational situations.
In addition to theoretical instruction, students undergo demanding health capability testing and selection procedures according to Ministry of Defence criteria. During studies, they are prepared for work in the Operational Centre of the Croatian Air Force and other military control units.

Curriculum
The curriculum integrates foundations of aeronautical science with specialized military air traffic topics, military regulations and operational knowledge. Progressive training emphasizes operational procedures, military coordination standards, communication protocols and practical decision-making through theory and simulation.
Core courses cover flight management theory, military air traffic management, airspace structure, procedural control, radar operations, military aviation operations and air missions.
Electives include flight control simulations, crisis management, avionics, aircraft accident analysis, and military communications technologies.
