NAUTICA CBC – Strengthening, innovation and promotion of the nautical tourism offer and cultural heritage by cross border cooperation

The goal of the NAUTICA CBC project, co-financed by the ERDF and IPA II funds of the European Union under the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro (Interreg IPA CBC), Priority Axis 3: Contributing to the development of tourism and preserving cultural and natural heritage, is to strengthen, diversify, and integrate the cross-border tourism offer in the program area by developing a new tourism product and acquiring new knowledge and sectoral skills. Within the project, a multilingual mobile application, NAUTICA CBC, has been developed. It provides an interactive interface with descriptions, visualizations, and information about points of interest (cultural and natural heritage, nautical information, and other points of interest) in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar in the Republic of Croatia and the city of Kotor (and the surrounding area of Kotor) in Montenegro. A 360-degree georeferenced recording captured the access from the sea to Stari Grad and Kotor, and for each listed point of interest, users of the mobile application have access to a sea view recording. The mobile application also offers a cookbook, “Tastes of Tradition,” with 30 recipes for traditional dishes (fish, meat, vegetable dishes, and desserts) and video recordings of the preparation of these dishes to promote the food&drink offer of the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro.
