The Department of Air Transport has the mission of educating students at all levels of study for work in air transport operations, while preserving and advancing scientific research activities and resources in the field of Transport and Traffic Technology, within the scientific disciplines of the Air Transport branch.

The vision of the Department is to strengthen and further develop its position as a leading, internationally recognized teaching and scientific research centre at the national and regional level which, through the continuous revision and upgrading of study programmes and research topics, promotes high quality standards and strives for excellence in teaching, scientific, and professional work, while ensuring professional and scientific excellence in airport and airline operations as well as air traffic management.
